The Butler Senior Center provides on-site group meals; social, educational, and recreational activities; out-of-home respite care; Alzheimer's day care; a caregiver support group; and health/wellness programs to help older adults lead independent lives in their own homes and communities for as long as possible.

The Darlington County Council on Aging (DCCOA) provides programs and services that promote the well- being of older adults living in Darlington County. The goal is to help seniors lead independent lives in their own homes and communities for as long as possible. Services are available through the DCCOA's main location, senior centers in Darlington and Hartsville.

The purpose of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Pee Dee Area is to promote the social, educational, health, leadership, and character development of boys and girls during critical periods of their growth. “To inspire and enable all young people from throughout the Pee Dee Area, especially those who need us most, to become productive, responsible, and caring citizens.”
